Technology

The Academy provides computers for students to use both for access to the Internet and word processing. There is a computer in every classroom, as well as a central computer lab and word processors in the school commons area. Alphasmarts, which are portable word processors which many students find very helpful for note-taking, are available for use in school. Keyboarding is required for all middle schoolers, and high school students are encouraged to turn in as much word processed work as possible, where appropriate. The school is in the process of setting up a sound-proof booth for use of speech-to-text software for students who need this assistive technology.
