July 6 - August 7, 2026
Neurodiverse learners thrive in Ann Arbor Academy's Summer Program. The combination of small group learning, skilled instruction, and social skills support allows students to experience success in a summer day camp setting. Campers learn, make friends, and have adventures during our inclusive, innovative, and nurturing Summer Program, now in its twenty seventh year.
The Summer Program is open to young learners ages 6-18 who can independently toilet and do not display violent or destructive behaviors or need one to one support. The typical student/teacher ratio at the camp is 4:1, and it is staffed by faculty from Ann Arbor Academy.
The Summer Program features:
Reading instruction at the child's level designed to build proficiency in skills including decoding, fluency, comprehension, and literary analysis
Math practice to solidify problem solving skills, math facts, automaticity, and introduce upcoming concepts and vocabulary to prepare for the fall
Writing practice in journaling, summarizing, and essays
Multi-sensory, project based science and art classes
Afternoons of hands on activities, projects, and field trips
Social skills feedback to build on social strengths and support friendships and confidence
The Summer Program hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
There are five sessions of one week each. Students may register for one session or several (or all five!)
The cost per session is $600. A $100 non-refundable deposit per session is required to complete registration. Payment in full is due June 1 - if you need to cancel your registration prior to that time, there is no charge beyond the deposit paid. Registration after June 1 (if space is available) will need to be paid in full within one week of registration or the first day of camp attendance, whichever comes first.
Registration is open to all students who meet Ann Arbor Academy's admissions criteria. We are proud to offer an exceptional program for neurodiverse students ages 6-18 who benefit from academic and social enrichment during the summer months.
